HIV/AIDS causes, symptoms, treatment

Abstract: Hello friends today we will discuss about HIV/AIDS.

You know that HIV is the human immunodeficiency virus. If someone is affected with HIV and some infection associated with HIV ,which is called AIDS.

Let's discuss the process ..
HIV virus are two types ....
One is very common which is found in US and worldwide and another is very rare and restricted which is found in Africa and Southern Asia.
Now I will give you a simple picture which will describe the the whole procedure ....
This picture has given detailed information . Now I will give you a simple description that you can realise the matter in your mind.

AIDS stand for acquired immune deficiency syndrome. it is the final stage of HIV where the immune systems have got very much damage and too much weak to fight against the ordinary infections.

When foreign invaders like bacteria get entry in your body and they can cause infection and activate your immune system.

One type of T cell response against infections. It releases some chemicals which attract other white blood cells and force some T cells to multiply.
This white blood cells produce antibody which mark the bacteria involves in the the infection. In this way the antibody mark the bacteria as a target and the immune system now can destroy this bacteria easily.

if someone have HIV, then it will travel through your blood or other fluid to destroy other certain  white blood cells.

This virus then enter into T cells which is the primary target of it. After reaching in helper T cell then they make their own multiple copy and lease from damaged helper T cell to damage again and other helper T cell.

Now that it cell has loosed it's ability to to protect the body immune system and other infection and so they die. In this way the HIV virus affects your immune system.

After infecting of HIV then your body has become very weak so ordinary other infection get advantage of it. Now they have ability to infect you and as a result other type of infections take advantage of your inability of immune system.

This infections are called opportunistic infection. If you have the HIV with opportunistic infection then this is called AIDS.

Now I will give you some example of opportunistic infections ......

1. Encephalitis - inflammation of your brain
2. Meningitis - inflammation of your tissue covering your brain and spinal cord.
3. Chronic diarrhoea
4. Kaposi's sarcoma
5. Pneumonia and tuberculosis

You can get HIV through unprotected sex, shared drug injection needle, breastfeeding, contaminated blood etc .

The basic of HIV prevention ....( Take medication as doctor prescribed)

1. Drugs: antiretroviral medication can reduce amount of HIV from your body.

Some antiretroviral drugs are ....

1. Fusion/ Entry inhibitors
prevent virus from attaching to the cell
2. reverse transcriptase inhibitors.
3. Protease inhibitors
2 and 3 prevent assembly of viruses.
